Rachel McDowall was born on October 4, 1984, in Liverpool, England. She started out loving drama in Wade Deacon High School, in Widnes, Cheshire. She graduated from Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom.
Rachel McDowall made her film debut as Lisa in Mamma Mia! starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Julie Walters, Stellan Skarsgard and Amanda Seyfried. The film premiered June 30, 2008, in London's Leicester Square, and was a massive box office hit all over the world.
Rachel McDowall also appeared in the UK's first 3D feature film Streetdance 3D which premiered in London May 10th 2010 and then hit the cinemas around the world. It was a great UK box office hit, topping the UK box office chart over Disney's Prince of Persia- Sands of Time and Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe.
Rachel McDowall has a supporting role in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace (2008), and she appeared in The Bill (2009). Rachel went on to play Velma Kelly in the West End theatre production of Chicago. Rachel played Boudicca in the high profile action adventure game Ryse - Son of Rome. And recently appeared in American TV show Zoe Ever After.
Rachel lives with her husband in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
